much difference out of open road, larger wheels will give you better top end speed and slow lower end. There's are good article in that mag where they use three different size rims, and they use sand weight bags and use the same track to race around it to see if weight placement in the car affect the time around. With the wheels, they see if larger wheels really slow your time down or come in at a lower speed. A 16"17" and 18" rim where a mile per hour apart with dam near the same time as well. But with in a 1/4 mile track, you have to generate enough speed with that track to place the best time you can, so you can see where a larger sized rim will take longer to make full rotations, thus adding to your time. 18's are good show rims, they won't slow your car down to where your going to notice it. That inch is not the bad as some might think. But I would bet a 1/4 mile on 18's.....LOL
